Imagine facing the stressful circumstances of the last two years without a safe home and the support of your family. That is the situation faced by every one of our CASA children. They shouldn’t have to face it on their own. Often, our CASA Volunteer Advocates are the only consistent, reliable adult presence in their lives.

Join us as we once again celebrate the unbelievable dedication of our CASA Volunteers and raise funds to expand our program to serve the rapidly growing number of children in the Lake County child welfare system. We’ll hear inspiring stories of hope from our CASA Volunteers are the families they serve. For the first time since 2019, CASA Lake County welcomes you to the Chicago Botanic Garden for our annual gala.

In 2019, CASA Lake County was in a difficult position. The lease at our Forest Edge office was expiring, and the owner had informed us of his intent to sell the building. A thorough search of the area indicated that there were few viable alternative sites available that could accommodate our program and fit into our budget.

That is when Senator Dan McConchie stepped in. The Senator was familiar with the work of our CASA program and volunteers. When a funding opportunity became available, he reached out to our program to determine if we had a good use for capital funds. From that point forward, the Senator advocated to help CASA apply for the grant program. Through that advocacy, CASA received a grant for $800,000 from the State of Illinois, which was used to purchase and upgrade our building. We're grateful to Senator McConchie for helping our program find a permanent home from which to support the children of Lake County!
